In addition to its modern design, the Polaris is outstanding not only because of its unique panoramic view, but due to its low fuel consumption while providing incredible performance with its 80 or 100hp engine options!

Proven in many competitions and air races - the Polaris is able to beat most of its competitors - no matter if tuned by variable pitch props or retractable landing gears!

A large one-piece hood opens the cabin easily with the help of gas springs, and permits easy boarding. The canopy is made from a special UV protection plexi and provides a 360° panoramic view!

Ergonomic, adjustable moulded bucket seats are shaped for long journeys and comfort.
The cockpit was designed for maximum space and therefore is able to accommodate very tall pilots.
Over 14 cm more elbow room compared to a standard C172 and space for pilots over 2,00 m tall - these data should purge all concerns.

Fowler flaps

A modern, electric Fowler flap system allows wing extension of up to 20%.
This makes cruising speeds of up to 250 km/h possible even starting from very short runways!
The winglets on the ailerons optimize control efficiency.

Fast removable wings for trailer transport

So rare for most low wing aircraft, the Polaris is designed like a glider - it enables the owner to remove both wings quickly to store the plane inside a trailer overnight!
A small unique system of rollers installed inside the fuselage guide the main spars to its final position when attaching the wings!
Main bolts are activated from outside, flaps connect automatically - it provides a maximum of simplicity to get it flying out of the trailer in short time!
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Various powerplants….

You can choose between the Rotax 912 or Rotax 912S engines. Fix pitch, variable pitch as well as constant speed props are available.
A special design of the nose cowling allows you to remove the main engine cowl quickly for inspections while the radiator and its fairings are staying on remain in place.

Various interior and equipment is available.

Safety

In addition to its proven design, therefore this machine meets the requirements set by highest safety standards.
As with all the other RC planes, the Polaris features the BRS rescue system option and its cockpit contains partly a tubular steel frame and special safety crash protection elements to create a car style crush zone. Even the fuel tank system is located outside any potential crumple zones - well protected in the centre of each wing behind the main spars!
 

 

 

 

 

 

Technology

The fuselage is mainly a carbon and glass fibre composite sandwich with a honeycomp core inside. Large carbon bulkheads are taking the wingloads into the fuselage structure.
Tailplane and controls are made of aircraft aluminium both riveted and bonded.
The wings are made in full carbon technology, also as sandwhich carrying a honeycomp web core inside.
Engine mount and nosegear are built from steel tubes in conventional aviation standard.
